Elicit, outline, and discuss the factors which are primary in determining population growth. Arrive at a mathematical formula which solves for population.
Review the Malthus theory of population growth and food availability. View and analyze two graphs which present population and food deficit graphs and population and food sufficient graphs. Determine factors which will contribute to the ability of humans to not surpass the carrying capacity and create a food deficit. Introduce demography as the study of human population trends. List birth rate, death rate, fertility rate, life expectancy and migration as factors.
