Kellan worked on the daily warm-up on solving a multi-step, multi-operation word problem. He focused on breaking the problem into parts, looking for operational clue words, and understanding the question that needed to be answered. Then, we worked on a basic fraction refresher. We focused on halves and fourths, the vocabulary associated with each, and how they relate to parts of a whole. Examples of each fraction were given on reading a clock, money, and cooking measurements. Kellan finished with an 11s fact check and was assigned 3-digit subtraction problems for homework.
