As JP continues to have concerns about how to craft the argumentative essay, I today reviewed the elements and techniques used in the argumentative essay. I additionally discussed the practice prompt and provided model sentences and a model thesis to use in an introduction. After we read through a number of AP argumentative essay prompts, JP chose a topic he felt he could address, and I again provided suggestions, models, and ideas to incorporate in the introduction and the body of the essay.
