Lesson Topic
Graphs of Functions; Probability
Lesson Outline
We completed a study on graphs of functions using technology. We looked at the practical concept of a function as observed in real world activities. We looked at properties of functions including concavity, maxima and minima, slopes (prepare for derivatives in calculus), and one-to-one functions. We briefly looked at non-functions, the circle, ellipse, and hyperbola. We also began a study of probability including theoretical, empirical, and subjective. Example problems were completed also.

Lesson Comments
This was the most productive 90 minutes this year. With homework assignments, and class participation like today, Jackson has really made progress toward successful completion of the course. We need a few more days like today.
