Today Kaitlin and I used a mix of Spanish and English to communicate a number of things and set the expectations for the year.
We discussed her current understanding of and comfort level with Spanish.
We discussed her current level of investment in the language. She seems very motivated to learn the language for a variety of reasons including future business ventures, tennis camps, and the like.
We explored the books we will be using.
We briefly visited some more advanced topics as well such as the influence of language on thought.
She made some notecards from the vocabulary used today.
