In preparation for our Unit 1 test on Tuesday, we today reviewed Joshua's work on the AP Personal Progress check for unit 1. He did extremely well on the MCQs and we discussed the one question where he had some uncertainty. We then reviewed his essay interpreting a first person narrative. I provided comments on the "complexity" or tension evidenced in the passage and made suggestions for a rewrite discussing the conflicts between reality and the narrator's perception in terms of dramatic irony. For homework , he will rewrite this essay and work on more practice exercise.
