The class will begin with a review of the number line and sets of number types. We will look at distance between points on the number line and using absolute value to find the distance. Inequalities using the number line will be disused and we will write inequalities symbolically.

We did everything in the plan as written. We also had time to do a short discussion of vectors because David asked a great question about direction on a number line. It is good to be able to take time to pursue a topic that wasn't in the original lesson plan, but takes us a bit deeper into the learning of algebra.
