Today we worked on writing claims and citing supporting evidence in response to two AP prompts on the function of character and setting. As Joshua completed two practice essays for homework, in preparation for tomorrow's test ,we reviewed my comments and suggestions on how to expand his analysis. Joshua is making very demonstrable progress in addressing these difficult AP format questions. We then addressed how to write a paragraph with a claim and evidence in response to a prompt on narrator perspective when the narrator is not a character in the book. Joshua commenced a draft which we began to review in class. He will finish it for homework as a means of studying for the test tomorrow.
