Lesson Topic
Inequalities
Lesson Outline
We will solve inequalities using methods similar to solving equations with one exception. That is, multiplying or dividing by a negative quantity requires that the inequality be reversed. We will also discuss the three methods used to express the solution set: symbolically, graphically, and set-builder notation. We will do examples to reinforce these concepts. We will also do an enrichment activity involving conditional statements and counterexamples.

Lesson Comments
We completed the lesson outline and did several examples of inequality solving and finding counterexamples for conditional statements. We are progressing very well through the Algebra 1 material. David was a bit late logging in for the second session today as he used the restroom after lunch before logging in. He was right on time for our session at 10:34 this morning. I asked him to try to login before going to the restroom if possible.
