Today, we incorporated Libby's new box of miniature animals in our lesson on sorting and counting. Each animal was placed in groups according to size, type, or characteristic before Libby counted the quantity of each group. Then, Libby continued to work on the spider web craft with the digits 6 through 10. She cut and pasted the digits in word form, in a ten frame, shown with fingers, represented as tallies, and with objects to their correlating spider web. These were hung on her door, joining the spiders 1 - 5.
