This morning, Libby worked on a number sense activity. She cut out fall apple cards numbered 1 through 10 and turned them upside down. Then, Libby chose a card and flipped it over, read the number, pointed to it on the number line with a pointer, found the one more and one less digit, and used a dry-erase marker to model it on a ten frame. Then, using a 1 through 10 deck of cards, I quickly flipped over the cards while Libby looked for and smacked the number she was working on until she had all the numbers. Finally, Libby ordered the number cards in a row from least to greatest and stacked them from greatest to least.
