Today's lesson addressed the function of pacing and tempo . Using the story "The Open Boat" we analyzed the story's structure, in media res, and how the pacing or delay in the story's resolution functioned to create the protagonist's character change to an empathetic person . We then looked at AP MCQ questions on this topic and discussed how to analyze and correctly answer these types of questions.
