This morning, Libby practiced writing the numbers 1 through 10 before we began the next unit on understanding addition. Today's lesson explored addition and how to show numbers in many ways such as with objects, fingers, pictures, or mental images. Libby colored objects to represent parts and wrote the number to tell how many in all. Then, she made a red and green mosaic plus sign to hang on her wall.
