Today, we spoke of more sports specifically baseball and basketball.
Kaitlin was asked to make connections between the words that she was reading. She was asked to look at her list of words and identify any possible cognates right away. She asked to find familiar words.
As we went over vocabulary, she was asked questions around the word. For example, I asked her to tell me if the word pelota was a general word for ball or a word for a specific type of ball. That words was paired with soccer balls, tennis balls, and others. So, she correctly told me that it was a general word for a ball.
