Ben emailed me a copy of his homework assignment. He answered in complete sentences and was receptive to the two grammatical edits suggested. Ben's answers demonstrated excellent synthesis, integration, and application of the material. We began reading Chapter 8 and discussed the meaning of the term Orwell called 'ownlife' in the language of Newspeak, which means individualism, which was dangerous to use in Orwell's construct of 1984 society.
