Ben continued reading Chapter 8 in George Orwell's '1984' dystopian novel. We alternated reading and paused to analyze unfamiliar words based on contextual clues and the structure of wording. Ben demonstrates a good ability to synthesize material; he explained the dynamics between and amongst characters effectively and concentrated on the protagonist, Winston, frequently connecting his experiences to historical events and types of government We will begin Book 2 later this week.
