We read pages 86 - 102 and almost finished Chapter 7. Ben remained interested in the developments of the plot and the new characters that were introduced in the story. We discussed the similes Orwell used to express emotion and make his writing more interesting, vivid, and entertaining. He will be given homework which will be due next Tuesday, 2/11.
