This morning, Libby worked on a Valentine's flower craft. She used markers to color coffee filters, making sure to use colors that mixed nicely together. Once the coffee filters were fully colored, Libby sprayed them with water to make the colors blend, and they were put aside to dry. Once dry, the filters were folded, fluffed open, and attached to a green pipe cleaner. While waiting for the filters to dry, Libby used a heart number line as a visual tool to move forward or backward from a given amount to help her understand addition and subtraction.
