First, I read a book to Lexi about colors and then she asked to read it; as it involved repetitive phrases and picture clues, it facilitated Lexi's ability to read along. Next, she participated in a guided reading exercise and read the words putting her finger underneath each word as she read it. She then drew a picture using the colors that were identified in the book.
