Lesson Outline
Build and analyze a model that illustrates an electric current. The procedure involves a series set up using bulbs as the resistors. A compass magnet is used to observe the magnetic field produced by a moving current. Direction of the the Current and deflection by the magnet are observed and noted. Changes in the deflection due to increases in voltage are recorded. Analysis involves hypothesizing what is happening in the current, what is occurring when the direction of current is changed, what is occurring when the voltage changes.
