Topic 7 Understand and Apply the Pythagorean Theorem
Lesson Outline
Lesson 7-4 Find Distance in the Coordinate Plane – We learned that the Pythagorean Theorem can be used to find the distance between any two points on a coordinate plane by drawing a line to connect the points and using it as a hypotenuse of a right triangle where the legs are the horizontal and vertical distances. Then we worked on word problems requiring us to use the distance between two points.
