Today, Alexandra practiced counting from 1 to 100 and recognizing numbers individually, not in rote order. First, she used plastic number line pieces grouped into 10s to create a complete number line to 100. Then, Alexandra verbally counted while pointing to each number. Finally, we took turns saying a number randomly, counting by 10s to find the correct number line section, and counting by 1s to find the number.
