Libby expressed bittersweet feelings about today being her last art class of the year. We spent the session completing the miniature tiled bathroom project we’ve been building together. I crafted a tiny clay sink while Libby sculpted a cake, a present, and a tiny snowman. We ended the class playing with the dolls we’d made earlier in the semester, bringing her imaginative world to life one last time. Libby has been an absolute joy to teach this year, always thoughtful, engaged, and full of artistic spirit.
