1-7 Inductive Reasoning – We practiced reasoning inductively. We predicted the extension of patterns. Then we applied inductive reasoning to real-world problem-solving. 1-8 Look for a Pattern – We practiced finding number patterns. Then we discovered that many occupations use patterns to help solve problems or make predictions. We used tree diagrams to verify a solution is reasonable.
1-9 Multiplying and Dividing Integers – We practiced multiplying and dividing integers. We discovered that an even number of negative signs gives a positive answer and an odd number gives a negative answer. Then we discovered that the sign of the quotient is positive when the two signs are the same and negative if the two signs are the opposite.
1-10 The Coordinate Plane – We learned to name the coordinates and quadrants in the coordinate plane. Then we practiced graphing coordinates or ordered pairs.
