2-1 Slope – We practiced finding the slope from a pair of points. We labeled the first set of points as the coordinates (x1, y1) and the second set of points as (x2, y2). Then we practiced using the formula for the slope:
m = (y2 – y1) / (x2 – x2). Next, we practiced finding the slope from the graph of a line. First, we looked at the eight linear graphs and determined whether the graph of each line was positive or negative. Then we located two points on the line and labeled them as (x1, y1) and (x2, y2).
