The Renaissance in Europe, FRQ Crusades Question. Renaissance Period focused on secular pursuits: Art, sculpture , architecture, and scholarly works. Renaissance culture emphasized innovation/creativity and independence. Extraordinary works of Michaelangelo, da Vinci, Raphael etc. New philosophy moving away from Catholic Church "control" and violent conflicts. The end of the Renaissance due to Protestant Reformation (M. Luther), and economic challenges resulting in less art being commissioned.
