Today, we began with the book 'Grace for President' by Kelly DiPucchio. A story about a girl named Grace who decides to run for president in her school's mock election after learning that no woman has ever held the office. This book explains the electoral college in a simplified, easy way to understand. Next, we watched a quick video about the president's job and the criteria needed to run for president. Then, we read descriptions and fun facts about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln in preparation for us making a President's Then and Now book.
