5-3 Adding and Subtracting Fractions – We learned to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators by rewriting the fractions with a common denominator. Then we learned that using the least common denominator or LCD results in numerators having the least possible values so they are easier to add and usually the result is already in simplest form.
