6-9 Markup and Discount – We learned to relate percent change to the percent markup and markdown. We learned that a store charges more for their merchandise than they paid for it, in order to make a profit. Then we learned that you can define percent markup as the amount of change divided by the original cost to the store. Next, we solved real-world percent word problems.
