8-6 Solve by Graphing – We used our knowledge of rate of change and initial value to write a linear function as an equation and interpret a function from a graph. We reviewed the slope formula, which is the change of y divided by the change of x. Then we solved for the y-intercept in the slope–intercept formula by substituting one of the points for x and y.
