Lesson Comments
Ana: Ana really pays attention well and works very hard to perform the techniques I am teaching. She found the left hand techniques and the song "Stepping and Skipping" very challenging. This was mostly due to coordination and muscle control in her hands. She became very frustrated at one point and started to cry because she was having trouble. I explained to her that it just takes time and to please be patient with herself. I assured her that I was not disappointed with her effort and thought she was doing very well (which is true - especially after only two lessons). With practice, both the strength and control in her hands and fingers will develop.

Quinn: Quinn seemed a little bored with guitar basics. This is quite common, especially in younger kids. When I was able to get him to focus, he did just fine with fretting technique. He will need to get a guitar that fits him. Again, his coordination and hand strength will improve with practice.
