Lesson Outline
Today I was a substitute teacher for Ms. Debbie. Patrick worked from his Reader Workbook. He read a story with closed syllables such as -ank, ing, unk, and ong. He read a story entitled, Tim and Ed with fluency. We stopped intermittently to check for understanding. Afterwards we played a matching game which incorporated memory skills. We had to find pairs, matching a picture to its corresponding ending (ring-ing). Patrick won!
