Patrick completed 7.1 subtracting 0, 1, and 2 from a given number. He practiced putting the large number in his mind, and counting back the given number of spaces. He also was able to answer auditory problems such as, "What is 2 less than 10?" With practice he mastered it well. He is doing much better with subtraction this time around. He completed 7.2 where he used addition double facts to help him with difficult subtraction sentences. 10-5, I know 5+5=10, so 10-5=5. He picked this up beautifully. He answered many word problems as well, and understood how to organize the information to make sense with what they were asking.
