Today Patrick participated in a handful of fun Thanksgiving Day activities during his regular class time. He and his fellow classmates all helped to create a scrumptious "Friendship Soup". This was a follow-up activity to a read aloud, Stone Soup. All of the students helped clean, peel, cut, and place vegetables and apples into a crock pot. Tomorrow Patrick will have the opportunity to taste the soup. He also completed a turkey craft where he reinforced his knowledge of the turkey parts. Patrick made a diagram of an apple and accurately labeled the parts of the apple (core, flesh, skin, seeds, etc.). In the afternoon he listened to a read aloud and then made a teepee and a headband to wear at tomorrow's festivities. It was a great fun-filled day!
