Today I returned Hunter's graded test (83/100) from last Friday and went over it with him. We then took up the subject of Rome's transition from a republic to an empire, including the difference between the two forms of government. Particular emphasis was placed on Julius Caesar, his conquest of Gaul, and his assassination by Roman Senators who resented his acquisition of power. After each video, Hunter was required to take notes. No cell phone use was permitted, without objection.
