Lesson Topic
Early Christianity
Lesson Outline
Today we resumed studying early Christianity. The lesson addressed the spread of Christianity following the death of Jesus, the perceived threat posed by Jesus' teachings (asserting the spiritual equality of all) to the Roman Empire's hierarchy, the Great Schism into Eastern and Western churches (the former called "Orthodox," the latter called "Roman Catholic"), and the Western church's eventual splintering into Protestant and Catholic denominations. Hunter was instructed via text and videos, and he was required to take notes.
