Had a discussion regarding the use of radionuclides in diagnosis of disease. The diagnosis due to cellular or tissue physiology, brought about by radionuclides, in contrast to diagnosis by cellular or tissue change was stressed. Tissue change or cellular change is the traditional, non-nuclear method of diagnosis and will occur only when there is damage to the tissue.
