Today's lesson focused on the spread of Christianity in the fourth century. With the use of text and videos, Hunter learned about the Roman Emperor Constantine's conversion to Christianity, including the reasons for same, and the relocation of the imperial capital from Rome to Byzantium, which Constantine promptly renamed Constantinople. Additionally, Hunter learned about Christian monks, including those who lived in monasteries and those who lived as hermits. After each video, Hunter was required to take notes, and he participated in discussion.
