Lesson Outline
Growing Pains of a New Country: Starting a new country was difficult. Marina was introduced to some of the problems that our leaders were confronted with. The 13 States had different opinions what was involved in the making of a country. President George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were able to align the states and the people to come into agreement. It was hard in the beginning yet basically they didn't want a king and they wanted to have the religion of their choosing, and the right to free speech, something that they did not have in England.
