Today, Cal and I discussed and worked through a number of problems on Discrete Mathematics. First, we talked about an element in a set of numbers. We then moved on to talk about a universal set and a subset of a larger universal set. We discussed the idea of a complement of a subset, which is all numbers in a universal set not included in the subset. Cal and I worked through a number of problems that dealt with sets, subsets, complements of subset, unions, intersections, cross-products of multiple sets and elements within a set.
