Today, Keaton and I discussed the following readings from our textbook, Everything's an Argument: "Disability and the Media: Prescriptions for Change" (Riley) and "Are We Worried about Storm's Identity--or Our Own?" (WIlliams). Discussion topics: audience, purpose, tone, style, stereotypes in America, current events involving invisible disabilities and Storm (the child being raised without gender awareness).
Assignment
Three readings (pages 482, 490, and 515). Reading Response Quiz next class.
