Shrinking the Distance: Marina was shown how travel innovations helped our country grow. The Union Pacific and Central Pacific Railways were built along with The Erie Canal and The National Road allowing freight and passengers to travel in shorter time. These innovations shrunk the distance between East and West. Marina did a good job filling out the word puzzle and calculating distance of each railroad. Great Job Marina!
