The session began with the instructor reading part of a story to Samantha. Next the instructor had Samantha do some mental math. Some true/false statements were read and Samantha had to decide if each one was true or false and explain her answer. For the final part of the lesson Samantha was asked to solve some three digit multiplication problems on the white board.
