The session began with Samantha completing an assignment on fractions from the Florida Virtual School curriculum. She had previously completed the other components from this lesson. The remainder of the session was spent working on solving long division problems. Samantha and the instructor used the white board to practice the steps for long division. She was then given three problems to solve on her own. Long division is challenging, so the instructor continued to guide Samantha as she worked on the assignment. Near the end of the session, Samantha seemed to be getting the gist of how to solve these problems. More practice and instruction will continue at the next session.
