Lesson Outline
We started our science lesson with a book called What is Weather? by Ellen Lawrence. This book discussed the different types of weather such as thunderstorms, lightning, snow, blizzards, hail, wind, hurricanes and tornadoes. We discussed how different places can have different kinds of weather at the same time. We also talked about temperature and thermometers. Cause and Effect was a concept we briefly touched on. For example, when it is sunny(cause) the result is a shadow(effect) or when there is sun and rain(cause) the result is a rainbow(effect). We worked on a cut and paste worksheet that showed what type of clothing we should wear in different types of weather. Analise told me her favorite type of weather in sunny and warm. Finally, we went out and checked on "Sunny" the plant and determined he needed more water.
