Science:
Allergies -
We discussed what causes someone to be allergic, and some of the most common allergens. Ana was asked to discuss what she would think if her school suddenly announced that no student could bring any peanut product to school. We answered the chapter questions and turned in her report.

Chronic Illness -
Ana and I worked on her Health classwork. We discussed what chronic illnesses were and how a young person would deal with having a long-lasting disease. We answered the chapter questions and turned in her report.

Asthma -
We talked about what it would be like to suddenly not be able to take a deep breath. We researched how asthma is treated and how patients must avoid trigger situations that may start an asthma attack. We answered the chapter questions and turned in her report.

Diabetes -
Ana compared and contrasted type 1 and type 2 diabetes. We talked about how hard it would be to have to constantly monitor your blood sugar, and inject yourself with insulin. We answered the chapter questions and turned in her report.
