We continued reading our Magic Tree House novel with chapter 8, "A Giant Shadow". We read about how Jack was trying to escape from the T-Rex! Gracyn did a nice job writing in complete sentences for our follow-up questions. As Gracyn, at times, mixes b and d, we completed a word sort of three word families -ud, -un, and -ub. She sorted the words and then wrote them without looking at them, sounding them out and spelling them correctly. We finished off our session with a game of ZAP! using the primer words. Gracyn's tricky words today were white and eat.
