Analise and I talked earlier in the week about different options for arts and crafts and she chose to make starfish. We made a salt clay out of flour, salt, and water to make a moldable dough. Then, blue food coloring was added to make a pretty sea blue color. Analise formed the dough into round, flat circles before using a plastic knife to cut out triangles and make the arms. Then, she used a toothpick to make dots and give the starfish character. We put the starfish into the oven at a low temperature to harden. Analise was very patient and focused on doing a good job and in return they came out beautifully.
