Lesson Topic
Creative Writing: 3 scene graphic novel
Lesson Outline
Today, I showed Jeron how to add his text to the graphic illustrations. We rearranged the layout to work with the text on photoshop, and I showed him some keyboard shortcuts to make adding the text a lot easier. Next, Jeron asked to work on the next volume of the graphic novel. He wanted to start with the illustration. I asked him to jot down his idea for the plot for the second volume, and then he worked on illustrating it for the last quarter of our session.

Lesson Comments
I had a somewhat unsettling experience with Jeron today. He seemed to have some difficulty expressing himself, and was muttering under his breath, twitching, and pulling on his fingers and pushing them into his eye sockets to the point where it seemed painful. He also said he had a pain in his side at one point. I asked him if he was okay and whether I should call his mother, but he said no, that he was fine. I was unsettled and suggested we get him some water, which we did. Then when we came back, he seemed happy to work on the next volume and not do the digital illustration. He just wanted to draw, and though, our focus is creative writing, I didn't to push him or make it worse by ending the session. I wonder though if he has ever had a psych evaluation?
