We read aloud and discussed articles related to Mother's Day and its effect on the retail business, as well as, its historical origins and true intent of the holiday. We read an article about "The World's Oldest Murder Case Solved? Then, we watched a short video on youtube related to the key economic principle/problem of scarcity as it related to unlimited wants/needs and making choices. Last, we read part of an article about stocks.

We read one article about Mother's Day, and one about the world's oldest murder case being solved? He likes short videos. So, we watched a short video about scarcity. Last, I read a loud part of an article about stocks. I asked him a few questions to assess his awareness related to economics and stocks. I feel it is best to move on to other topics. I asked Ethan to think of areas that interest him. Economics is very dry. It was my least favorite class to take and teach--I understand what he is experiencing.
